Cristene Sellers is a fine art photographer based in Northern California. During her childhood, she spent summers hiking, camping and backpacking with her family in the western United States and Canada. She inherited her love of the outdoors from her father and her love of photography from her mother. A California native, Cristene enjoys traveling in the US and abroad. She lived and worked in France for several months where she spent weekends hiking and photographing in the Chartreuse, Vercors and the Belledonne mountain ranges surrounding Grenoble. Cristene worked as a software engineer for 25 years. Since retiring in 2007, Cristene has devoted her time to photography. Inspired by the work of Stephen Johnson and Charles Cramer, she photographs the rich colors, textures and details of the open spaces that she loves to explore. Her work has been exhibited in Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
